New classes and events! Calloo, callay!

This week is the bomb. Check out this rock star lineup of free classes for the week. Want to see other classes? TEACH THEM! As always, if you want to help us plan other events, come to Tom’s Tabooley on Sundays at 5pm to discuss Free Skool and Free Skool accessories.

Tonight at 8:00PM:

Introduction to Computer Programming
Where: 707 W 21st Street, Austin Texas, 78705 (in the Commons)
Description: Topics include the basics of how a computer works, logic, and simple data structures. Students should have a good grasp of basic algebra and be very incisive.

Tuesday at 8:30PM:
Documentary Tuesday Presents:
Pirate Radio USA

Where: 707 W 21st Street, Austin Texas, 78705 (backyard)
Description: Documents the history, struggle, and victories of the free radio movement. Popcorn will be provided!

Thursday at 9:00PM:
Books and Brews
Where: 707 W 21st Street, Austin Texas, 78705 (backyard)
Description: Bring your favorite books, brew, and buddies to this great event.

Saturday at 2:00PM:
Record Share:
Where: 707 W 21st Street, Austin Texas, 78705 (in the commons)
Description: Bring your favorite vinyl, mp3s, cds, tapes, 8-tracks, etc. to share. We will launch discussions and everyone can select 1-2 of their favorites tracks so we can create a mix.

Saturday at 5:00PM:
Radical Art History:
Where: 707 W 21st Street, Austin Texas, 78705 (in the commons)
Description: This course will look at art and culture and its ability to influence social change via grassroot initiatives. It will address the intersections between art and activism throughout history by a range of different periods and mediums. Several different tactics will be utilized to discuss the material such as: discussion, going out to community events, powerpoints, selective readings, etc. No materials are required.
